Audience Protocol for
Attending
PPA Print Competition
PPA print
competition is a learning tool whose goal is to help all audience members
understand how to improve their photography. Comments and criticism by the
judges are not meant to be hurtful or demeaning. Please do not take any
statement made personally - they are only trying to help.
- All cell phones and
pagers must be turned off or set to vibrate mode
- At no time can an
audience member address the judges, challenge a score or make a comment
about the proceedings. Any discussion with the judges and any procedural
questions can be raised after the entire print judging is complete.
- There should be no
talking during the judging itself. Quiet whispering amongst audience members
is permissible, but should be kept to a minimum
- At no time during the
judging can an audience member approach the turntable or the judging table
- The decisions of the
judges are final
- Prints and ribbons
cannot be picked up until after all entries have been judged
