Benefits of Membership

One of the benefits of membership in SONOPP is the opportunity to learn from the industry leaders. Our monthly programs include lectures and demonstrations. Membership in SONOPP provides the opportunity to meet with other professionals and learn. You will be able to exchange ideas on an informal basis on techniques, equipment and promotions.

Ever get stuck on a problem? You will be surprised at the willing assistance other members will give you. Our programs are presented by visiting photographers willing to share their knowledge.

Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of the month, at MacKenzie's Grill, part of the Holiday Inn at I-71 and West 150th.

We begin with dinner at 7:00 PM with the program following at 8:00 PM.

NEWSLETTER
Our monthly newsletter, "In Focus," is published to keep our members current on upcoming events. The newsletter is a great way for members to exchange ideas.

VIDEO LIBRARY
Our extensive video library is available to all members. The library includes instructional tapes on lighting, portraiture, marketing, weddings, and commercial photography. These tapes are valuable tools in your growth as a photographer.

CAMARADERIE
Fellowship and contact with other photographers from the area is certainly a great benefit of belonging to SONOPP. We have many social events throughout the year which afford the opportunity for you to know other professionals on a personal level.

PRINT COMPETITION
One of the highlights of the SONOPP year is our print competition. This event is a challenge to all who enter and a positive learning experience as well. We learn to improve our daily work while preparing for state and national competition.

REFERRALS
As you get to know your fellow SONOPP members, you will find the organization a great place for referrals. Referrals are given and received as one develops the confidence and support from fellow members.
