Hi Everyone,

I am looking forward to giving you the insight on how the Olan Mills Portrait Studios company works and what makes us successful. A lot of what we do can easily be converted to help the private photographer be successful with improving your volume of customers and what the customer expects since we offer above average photography services.

Since 1932, Olan Mills has been making professional quality portraits accessible and affordable for families across the country. We are a large privately-owned company, the Mills Family still owns the company and they are a huge part of our success because they are also hands-on with the day-to-day operations of the family business. Olan Mills still operates over 900 stores which includes free standing traditional portrait studios, the concept studio located in various malls, we are inside Meijer's, Macey's and Belk's department stores. Our most profitable and where most of our studios are located inside the Kmart Portrait chain. They also still have their church directory division.

The Olan Mills Portrait Studios corporate offices and lab is located in Chattanooga, TN. At the plant and corporate office they employ 400 employees and in the studios division they employ over 5,000 photographers, sales and marketing personnel nation wide. All of our printing and post production is done in house.
